Statuses & Default Statuses
Hiring can get messy, especially when you have lots of applicants flowing into your jobs. In order to keep your hiring process organized, you need a way to manage the different stages that candidates will go through. The Processing tab of your job posting is designed to help you do exactly that through management of candidate statuses.
Key Steps
- Access Processing Tab: Navigate to the Processing tab on the job posting.
- Select Pipeline Option:
- Choose from options like use default pipeline, copy pipeline from another job, or create a pipeline from scratch.
- The "Use default pipeline" option will set your statuses up based on how you have them configured in the Templates section of your account.
- The "Copy pipeline from other job post" option will allow you to copy a pipeline from a previously created job.
- The "Create pipeline from scratch" option will start you off with all of the default statuses like "New candidate" or "Hired", but the rest is up to you.
- Click on the preferred option.
- Choose from options like use default pipeline, copy pipeline from another job, or create a pipeline from scratch.
- Utilize Automations:
- Each status can have associated automations like sending messages to candidates.
- Automations help in organizing workflow and communication with candidates.
- Default Statuses:
- Default statuses like New candidate, Rejected, Offer Sent, and Hired are essential for a proper pipeline.
Cautionary Notes
- The "New candidate" and "Hired" statuses cannot be reordered because they are assumed to come first and last in the hiring process, respectively.
Tips for Efficiency
- Familiarize yourself with the different statuses and their meanings to use them effectively.
- Regularly review and update candidate statuses to maintain an organized hiring process.
