Use one phone number for all communications
When multiple users are all collaborating on one job posting, communication with your candidates can become muddled. If each user is sending text messages to the same candidate, the candidate may become confused because they would naturally expect all communications about a job to come from the same person. With Discovered, you can set up your job so that all text messages come from the same phone number regardless of which user sent the message.
Key Steps
- Go to the "Find and Evaluate Talent" tab on your job posting.
- Scroll down to the "Tools for Sourcing Candidates" section.
- Look for the card labeled "Use one phone number for all communications."
- Click the switch on the card to enable the feature.
- A dedicated phone number will be generated for your job posting. Any user sending a message to a candidate in this job posting will have the message sent from the same phone number. This ensures that candidates receive messages from a consistent phone number, giving them the impression of communicating with one person.
Cautionary Notes
- If the switch is turned off, the generated phone number will be released and no longer owned by the system.
- Turning the feature on and off will result in a different phone number being used each time, potentially causing confusion for candidates.
- Exercise caution when toggling the switch to avoid sending messages from different phone numbers to the same candidate.
Tips for Efficiency
- Communicate with your team members about using the feature consistently to maintain a unified communication approach.
- Double-check before toggling the switch to ensure a seamless experience for candidates.
- If unsure, reach out to the support team for guidance on using the feature effectively.
