Internal Job Description

Use the Internal Job Description to standardize candidate evaluation with Kingsley AI. Unlike the candidate-facing job description, this version is created for internal accuracy and alignment with your hiring team.

Overview

The Internal Job Description is automatically generated when you create a job posting in Discovered. Unlike the candidate-facing description (which markets the role), the internal description is a cut-and-dry summary of responsibilities, duties, and expectations. Kingsley AI uses it to automatically rate candidates by comparing their resumes against these criteria. You can review, edit, and even export it to share with team members for consistency in evaluations.

How to Use the Internal Job Description

1. Access the Internal Job Description

  • Go to the relevant job post.
  • Click on Find and Evaluate Talent tab.
  • Scroll down to the Evaluate Candidates section and locate the Internal Job Description card.

2. Review or Edit the Description

  • Open the card to view the AI-generated description.
  • Edit as needed to ensure accuracy (responsibilities, KPIs, requirements).

3. Export for Sharing

  • Click Download PDF to generate a copy you can share with managers or stakeholders.

Why This Matters

  • Ensures Kingsley AI ratings are based on accurate job requirements.
  • Keeps your hiring team aligned by providing an objective, internal reference.
  • Improves consistency in candidate evaluation across resumes, interviews, and assessments.

Use Cases

  • You want Kingsley AI to automatically rate candidates against clear job expectations.
  • You need a sharable internal version of the job description for hiring managers.
  • You want to align your team on evaluation criteria separate from the candidate-facing ad.

Best Practices

  • Always review and adjust the auto-generated description to ensure accuracy.
  • Update job details if requirements change — the internal description updates accordingly.
  • Use the PDF export to align interview panels or stakeholders before candidate reviews.

What Happens Next

  • Candidates are automatically rated by Kingsley upon entry.
  • Ratings and reasoning appear directly in the candidate profile.
  • You and your team can override AI ratings as needed for more context.
  • Internal job descriptions remain private — they’re never shown to candidates.
