Create a Candidate Source Link
Overview
Tracking where your candidates come from is essential for optimizing your recruiting strategy. Discovered allows you to easily create custom source links for your job application postings, enabling you to attribute candidate sources such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or external job boards.
This guide walks you through the simple steps to generate a source-specific URL for your application links.
Step-by-Step: Creating a Candidate Source Link
1. Go to Your Job Posting
Navigate to your “Find and Evaluate Talent” section in the Discovered platform.
Select the job for which you want to generate a source link.
2. Copy the Application Link
Find the application link associated with the job posting.
Copy this link to your clipboard.
Example:
https://apply.mycompany.com/job/apply/12345
3. Add the Source Parameter
To tag the link with a source, append the following to the end of the URL:
?source=YourSourceName
For example, if you're sharing the job on Facebook:
https://apply.mycompany.com/job/apply/12345?source=Facebook
Replace Facebook
with any source you’re using — like LinkedIn
, Twitter
, Indeed
, or even a custom tag like Newsletter
.
4. Paste & Share Your Custom Link
Now you can paste this tagged link anywhere — in social media posts, job boards, emails, or any outreach campaigns.
What Happens Next?
When a candidate applies through your custom link, Discovered will automatically track the source. You’ll see this data within your candidate profiles and reporting dashboards, helping you analyze which sources perform best.
