Request formal applications from candidates as part of your hiring process.

Overview

While resumes provide valuable information, some companies require candidates to fill out an official application form for compliance, record-keeping, or internal processes. With Discovered’s Send Application Form automation, you can attach this step to a status in your pipeline. When candidates are moved into that status, they’ll be prompted to complete the application form you’ve configured—ensuring you capture all the required information.

How to Send Candidate Application Form:

 

 

1. Open a Status in the Processing Tab

Go to your job posting, navigate to the Processing tab, and select the status where you want to allow scheduling.

2. Add the Application Form Automation

Scroll to the automation options and select Send Application Form. The system will automatically apply the form that you’ve set up in the Find & Evaluate Talent tab.

3. Verify Form Fields

Ensure that the application form fields (first name, last name, address, work history, etc.) are configured correctly under Find & Evaluate Talent. Only those fields will be shown to the candidate.

4. Add a Notification Message (Optional but Recommended)

Create a message to notify candidates of the requirement. Include clear instructions and expectations. Without a message, the form will still be assigned but the candidate may not know to complete it.

5. Assign the Status to a Candidate

Move a candidate into the application status to trigger the automation. The system will prompt them to fill out the application form.

6. Review Completed Applications

Once submitted, candidate application details will appear under the Details tab in their profile.

What Happens Next:

Once the automation is active:

  • Candidates moved into the designated status will be prompted to complete the application form.
  • If you included a message, they’ll receive instructions along with the form request.
  • Submitted responses will appear in the candidate’s Details tab, accessible to your hiring team.
