Copy and Move Candidates to Another Job Post
Discovered gives you the flexibility to manage candidates across multiple job postings. You can copy candidates to another job post (keeping them in the original job as well) or move them entirely to a new job post.
Overview
This feature helps recruiters handle candidates more efficiently when:
- A candidate applied to one job but is also a good fit for another.
- You want to test candidates against multiple job descriptions.
- You need to centralize candidates under a single role.
Using the Copy option is recommended for most cases, since it preserves candidate records in the original job while duplicating them into the new one.
Step-by-Step: Copy or Move Candidates
1. Decide Which Candidates to Copy/Move
- Log into your Discovered account.
- Navigate to Job Posts in the top navigation bar.
- Click the specific job post where the candidate(s) currently are.
- Use the checkboxes to select candidates.
- Tip: Use the checkbox above the candidate list to select all candidates at once.
2. Copy or Move Candidates
- Once candidates are selected, a popup bar will appear on the right side.
- Click Copy/Move.
- Copy → Duplicates candidates into another job post while keeping them in the original.
- Move → Transfers candidates to a new job post, removing them from the original one.
Important: Choose Copy unless you’re absolutely sure you no longer need the candidates in the original job.
- A new popup will open showing a list of your other job posts.
- Select the job post you want to copy/move the candidates to.
- Click Submit in the bottom-right corner.
Your candidates will now appear in the selected job post.
Advanced Notes
- In the pop-up where you select the job post to copy/move candidates to, you may see a checkbox for Apply automation from "New Candidate" status. This applies to any automated workflows tied to the "New Candidate" stage in the new job post.
- Kingsley AI will automatically re-evaluate copied candidates in the context of the new job’s Internal Job Description, so you can see how well they fit.
Why This Matters
- Efficiency: No need to manually re-upload resumes or profiles.
- Flexibility: Evaluate candidates across multiple roles without losing data.
- Accuracy: Keep candidate information intact while assigning them to new opportunities.
Best Practices
- Use Copy First: Keeps records safe while allowing you to test candidate fit across jobs.
- Re-Evaluate: Check AI scores and star ratings again once candidates are copied into the new job.
- Stay Organized: Review candidate statuses after moving to avoid confusion in communication.
What Happens Next
Once copied or moved:
- Candidates will appear in the new job post under the New Candidate stage.
- All resumes, activity logs, and assessments move with them.
- If copied, the candidates remain accessible in the original job post. here.
