Troubleshoot Sponsored Jobs Not Spending Correctly on Indeed

Overview

If a job appears sponsored in Discovered but is not spending correctly in Indeed, the posting may exist but the sponsorship or campaign state may not be active as expected.

This article explains how to check the issue, restart the sponsorship path, and contact Indeed Support with the right message.

How to Fix It:

1. Confirm whether the job is actually spending in Indeed

Log in to your Indeed employer account and review the sponsored job.

Check:

  • whether the job shows as sponsored
  • whether spend is increasing
  • whether the campaign looks active
  • whether the job is acting like a normal sponsored posting

2. Restart the sponsorship

If the job is sponsored in Discovered but not behaving correctly in Indeed, stop the campaign and recreate or restart the sponsorship.

Then recheck the job inside Indeed. The playbook notes that most sponsorship issues should be fixable through this path.

Subject: Sponsored job not spending correctly in Indeed

Body:

Hello Indeed Support,

We use Discovered as our ATS and sponsorship setup.

A job appears to be sponsored on our side, but inside Indeed it is not spending correctly / not showing normal sponsored behavior.

Details:

Company name: [Company Name]
Indeed account email: [Indeed Login Email]
Job title: [Job Title]
Job ID: [Job ID]
Issue: Sponsored job is not spending correctly / not behaving like an active sponsored posting

Please review the account and posting status and let us know what needs to be corrected.

Please include your first and last name in the reply for our records.

Thank you,
[Customer Name]

4. Save the support response

Keep:

  • the Indeed rep’s name
  • screenshots of the campaign view
  • screenshots of the support chat or email
  • the job title and job ID
  • any statement from Indeed about what they changed

Why This Matters

If a sponsored job is not spending correctly, it may not get the visibility you paid for. Checking the campaign state quickly helps prevent wasted time and missed applicants.

Best Practices

  • Verify spend in Indeed, not only in Discovered
  • Restart the sponsorship before assuming the campaign is fully broken
  • Contact Indeed with the exact job details
  • Save screenshots and rep names for follow-up

What Happens Next

After the sponsorship is restarted and Indeed reviews the posting, the job should return to normal sponsored behavior. If the problem continues, share the Indeed response with Discovered so the case can be reviewed further.

If you want, I can next turn these into fully polished publish-ready KB copy with titles, meta descriptions, and tighter wording for your Help Center CMS.
